Well.....
Miss Annie Dill is getting big...almost at 12lbs. She also looks like she is getting taller. Getting a little harder to carry that pup in my arms! She is fiesty as ever & wants to play all the time (seriously, ALL THE TIME).
We received our sea shipment of things from our apartment in Singapore yesterday. Ugh...huge sale coming soon. We have so much stuff! We need a bigger house for sure if we wanted to keep it all...luckily we are both on the same page with EVERYTHING and it has to go. We'll have tons of kictchen stuff and a few pieces of furntiure, so if you know anyone who is looking or will be looking or know a college student who wants something gently used, let us know! I spent all day yesterday trying to "fit" stuff in our house. So far, not too bad of a job if I do say so myself. Matt was really impressed & surprised when he came home from work!
Yesterday we went to see Miss Charlie & help her Grandpa move a bunch of stuff from OKC. We were exhausted & didnt get home til almost 10pm...at least there was pizza involved!
No offense to anyone, but I am looking forward to a storm....I dont really care what is involved. Matt & I have spent so much time doing for everyone else, working, taking care of house & dog, we feel like we've had any time for ourselves. At least we have all of our stuff (well except for the side table thats missing) and can try to be fully settled. Its definitely no piece of cake! But hey, we've been through so much together already, this other stuff is for the birds!
I'm sure there is much more I'm forgetting.....why does that always happen on here. I have all these things & then suffer from CRS (cant remember sh*$) and end up babbling about something totally irrelevant to what i was first thinking.
Hope everyone stays warm & safe the next couple of days! I went to the grocery (which was madness) and we have stuff to make homemade gumbo, tortilla soup and of course super-chili...definitely enough to feed a small army!

NEW DILLS
Lots of goings on in this Dill household!
Melissa had her baby last week, a little girl named Charlie Kay, 7lbs 10ozs and 20.5 inches long. She is super sweet as can be....the very few times we have visited her. Melissa is doing well & settling into Mommyhood with ease. She's a natural. The best part is we can hold, cuddle etc... and then GIVE HER BACK!!
Annie is doing well. Growing lots. Already 2 lbs since we brought her home.Lots of firsts this week...She had her first visit to the vet on Monday, who said she looked "FANTASTIC". She had her first trip to OKC on Thursday & was a very good girl for my (Natalie) parents. She LOVES LOVES LOVES to play....seems like she cant get enough every day. She loves people & meeting other dogs. She loves to go for a walk around the neighborhood. All in all she is doing great & responding well to housebreaking and has easily learned to "sit". We are also getting much more sleep than we were, oh say about a week ago. She can go about 5 hours in her crate @ night...pretty good for a pup just shy of 4 months. Still lots to work on, but hopefully with hard work, endurance and patience we'll be even better!
In other news, the christmas tree is finally out of the house & chopped up (thanks to my wonderful husband). So embarrassed to admit it was still in the house...as well as other decorations. We also had the tree in the front yard cut down as well & are looking forward to using our fire pit more & more....anyone need some logs??
Hopefully the next couple of weeks go well. Matt is doing great at his job! He is such an awesome guy who doesnt get enough praise from his wife, who thinks he is the smartest, greatest guy in the world!! And she definitely appreciates every little thing he does!
Enough for now, think someone is wanting to play!

LITTLE ORPHAN ANNIE
Here is our precious new addition....named Annie. The SPCA named her Diane and we got her for our 1st anniversary, so we thought Annie was quite the perfect name for her.
Here are some pics from the weekend....she LOVES her back yard, loves chewing (we're working on this one), loves to go outside, loves her squeacky wabbit (rabbit) toy her daddy bought for her, loves taking a nap in our lap, loves the leaves outside as well as the sweet gum balls, loves her bones & chew toys...
So far she has been the best little pup...with a few accidents here & there and some misunderstandings we have fixed, all in all the best for us for sure! Can't wait to share more with but this will do for now....we are in an intense potty training session as well as trying to get adjusted to a regular schedule!
I'm sure Annie hopes to meet everyone soon!

WELCOME BACK......NOW GIVE US ALL YOUR $$MONEY$$
Welcome back, now give us all your money applies perfectly to our lives today.
Uhm....2 new plates, tags and insurance of course, for 2 cars and we are set back a few (ahem, several) hundred buckaroos. WELCOME HOME! Dont you love being an "owner"?! Fun always comes with responsibility:)
And of course, today is a VERY special day. Its doggie adoption day! We are going to the SPCA at noon to pick up our bundle of joy....pictures will come soon. Good things come to those who wait! And I've been waiting for like 7 years for a dog, so she is sure to be the best! I kind of picked her out, so its up to Matt to decide on the final name.....right now she is Diane, and we are going to change that.
So, with ALL that big new, news....I'm off to get a few things done before our little precious one comes home.....gawd you would think its actually a baby with the way we were at target last night getting supplies.....is this one safe? will she like this flavor? will she respond to these colors?
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Cheers!

A NEW YEAR, A NEW LIFESTYLE AND A NEW BLOG
Happy New Year! So everything this year is totally new. After 2 years in Singapore and 1 year of marriage under our belts, we are totally ready for a new adventure/chapter in our lives!
We have been through a whirlwind since coming home the week before Christmas and have enjoyed many family gatherings & social times with good friends. Since being back in town & being out and about a little bit, we are running into old friends & re-connecting and it definitely feels great to be home and see all those familiar faces.
We are slowly getting settled into our home & are having fun learning all kinds of new things about each other since we are in a totally new place together. A different lifestyle for sure & we are excited about what it will bring! We have had the fun task of buying a new car and are looking at adopting a dog sometime soon and we are looking forward to finding a church that suits us both. Matt has just spent his first official week back at work at Nordam and he is looking forward to some challenges and has been diving right into his role.
As for myself, I am having a slower start. I have been trying to put our house together. We have already received an air shipment and hopefully in the next week or two will receive our sea shipment....and I also have that luxurious task of finding a place to store it all. Just to put the word out now, a HUGE garage sale will be happening come spring. I am just getting started & will be looking for a work a little more seriously in the weeks to come.
So, with that little bit said about our new start in a new home together, we are definitely looking forward to what the future holds for us. We are having a blast being buddies & love being married. We just celebrated our 1 year anniversary & couldnt be more proud of what we have endured & accomplished together. We treat every day as a gift from God and like to think of each other that way too. We definitely cherish all that we have.... including so many wonderful family & friends that have made our home-coming simply fabulous.
Cheers to a new year!
