Happy New Year! So everything this year is totally new. After 2 years in Singapore and 1 year of marriage under our belts, we are totally ready for a new adventure/chapter in our lives!
We have been through a whirlwind since coming home the week before Christmas and have enjoyed many family gatherings & social times with good friends. Since being back in town & being out and about a little bit, we are running into old friends & re-connecting and it definitely feels great to be home and see all those familiar faces.
We are slowly getting settled into our home & are having fun learning all kinds of new things about each other since we are in a totally new place together. A different lifestyle for sure & we are excited about what it will bring! We have had the fun task of buying a new car and are looking at adopting a dog sometime soon and we are looking forward to finding a church that suits us both. Matt has just spent his first official week back at work at Nordam and he is looking forward to some challenges and has been diving right into his role.
As for myself, I am having a slower start. I have been trying to put our house together. We have already received an air shipment and hopefully in the next week or two will receive our sea shipment....and I also have that luxurious task of finding a place to store it all. Just to put the word out now, a HUGE garage sale will be happening come spring. I am just getting started & will be looking for a work a little more seriously in the weeks to come.
So, with that little bit said about our new start in a new home together, we are definitely looking forward to what the future holds for us. We are having a blast being buddies & love being married. We just celebrated our 1 year anniversary & couldnt be more proud of what we have endured & accomplished together. We treat every day as a gift from God and like to think of each other that way too. We definitely cherish all that we have.... including so many wonderful family & friends that have made our home-coming simply fabulous.
Cheers to a new year!
